Raymond Karsten is a Creative Director, storyboard artist and worldbuilder. He has drawn boards for Martin Campbell, Erik Poppe and MGM, directed campaigns and short films, and spent the last years building visual worlds with AI in the loop.

The process, answered
- How do I turn an idea into an AI film?
- Develop the idea into a story first. Then build references for characters, locations, light and colour. Then a shot list. The prompt is the last step, not the first. Skipping this is why generated shots look good separately but do not hold together as a film.
- Why does my AI character change between shots?
- Because nothing defined who the character was before the prompt was written. Use one reference file per character, label explicitly what each reference defines and what to ignore, and place character descriptions high in the prompt rather than at the bottom.
- Which AI video tools does the course cover?
- The method is tool-independent and applies to Seedance, Kling, Veo, Runway and others. The course teaches the process before the prompt, which does not change when the tools do.
- What happens every Monday?
- A live session called Monday Production Brief. Raymond develops one of his own films from first idea to finished scene, showing what worked and what failed that week. Members then bring their own projects for feedback.
- How much does it cost?
- Founding members pay 7 dollars per month, locked for as long as they stay. If you become a member now, you become a founding member. The price rises to 9 dollars for new members later. Members can cancel at any time.
FAQ
A few honest answers.
- Do I need to be technical?
- No. If you can write a sentence and describe a shot, you can use these tools. We teach the craft, not the settings menu.
- Do I need a finished story first?
- No. Most people arrive with fragments — a character, a scene, one sentence in a notebook. Turning a loose idea into a story is the first thing we do, and it is the part most courses skip.
- Which AI tools do you use?
- The tools that work right now — and that changes fast. But this is the point: what you learn here are basic skills that transfer across almost every AI generator. It's never about which tool you use. It's about how you use what you have. Think economically: if you use this at work, a more expensive solution may pay off. If you're learning or creating as a hobby, cheaper options do the job. Save your work and your progress in a way that lets you switch tools when something better or more affordable shows up — and in the near future there may even be solid free alternatives. The skill you're building — how to direct — outlives any single tool.
- Is it in English?
- Yes. The community I'm building and all materials are in English.
